Over the years,I've realised that our main purpose in life is to bring glory to God.
Knowing your purpose is meaningless unless you do something about it. How are you fulfilling your life purpose today? This question is intensely personal that no one else can answer for you. I'll be honest, I even avoid asking myself this question.
I've spoken, observed and gotten insights from people who live their lives in complete dedication to God such as priests, nuns, missionaries, and laypeople how they practice living in God's presence with their minds and hearts
Life is full of so problems and distractions that easy get us overwhelmed. Our minds can get so busy thinking that it all depends on us that we forget that God is in charge. We become confused by all possibilities and we have no idea what to choose.
We also naturally have this tendency of wanting to do things all by ourselves. We choose our own course to self-contentment and we accept what the world offers instead of choosing the path where God wants us to learn. Knowing one's purpose will be a great starting point for rewarding life.
True meaning in life comes from following God's directions, finding out our responsibilities to Him and fulfilling them.
But God already knew us in advance-that our own wisdom and understanding are not great enough to know His specific plan or understand His passion, great love and kindness for us.
We must seek His wisdom and understanding, which are gifts of the Holy Spirit. He also knew that our free will makes things difficult for us and sometimes makes refuse accepting God's authority.
He sent His Son to save us from our sins and purchase eternal life for us. He did this not because we deserve to be saved, but because that was His plan long before the world began-to show His love and kindness mercy to us through His Son.
Merely to professing that Jesus Christ died for our sins is not enough.
To accept and receive Him and to become like His Son, Jesus Christ, in preparation for eternal glory-this has always been God's purpose for us. Without God in it, life becomes meaningless. We should be constantly working to do God's will.
In all situations-moments of joy and sorrow, trials and struggles and when the unexpected happens; do not forget God can turn any situation around for good for those who love him.
"Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is." (Romans 12:2)
I'm asking myself once again if I am living my purpose? Does my work glorify God?
It is never too late to fulfill your mission. The journey begins the moment you let your faith in God prevail, and allow His purpose for your life to direct your ways.
God bless you.
I have been thinking a great deal about my experience at Reconciliation this past Saturday. I felt an intense and unexplainable urge to go and confess my sins when I woke up that morning. I try to go every six weeks or so, but this was no routine visit to the priest for me. I needed to unburden myself of the numerous venial sins I had committed since I last participated in this Sacrament.
Purest Gold: God's Refining Fire in our Lives »
After salvation, many young Christians wonder if there's anything more to their newfound faith than just the security blanket of "being a Christian." Time and time again, God shows himself as a "refiner," and our lives are as gold. God started leading me in this study to understand what He was doing in my life, as well as in the lives of others.
Picking up my pen to write this column, I couldn’t imagine how time flies. Since the last publication of this column I have gone through a lot, especially the loss of my dear mother to whom I dedicate this article. Not only her, but seems I lost a whole generation of my close family.

When Your Faith Is Put to the Test - Bishop Barron's Sunday Sermon»
Friends, we come now to the Second Sunday of Lent, and we’re on both dangerous and very holy ground with the first reading from the twenty-second chapter of Genesis. The ancient Israelites referred to it as the “Akedah,” which means the “binding”: Abraham binds and is ready to sacrifice Isaac at God’s command.
